After defeating and fixing Hammond, Jordan goes to Ferris Industries to stop Sinestro from using his power ring to murder the entire planet. Sinestro and his men use a giant Parallax, who they believe to be a good guy due to his origin, to destroy the Earth, and Sinestro is gone. Jordan next comes to a meeting with Ferris' new corporate president Vincent Faraday, who asks him to lead an Anti-Parallax campaign, an initiative that will end the use of rings in peaceful occupations such as science and journalism. Later, Faraday suggests a bid with Hal as the Anti-Parallax campaign's spokesman, nominating him as the best person available. However, at the hearing, with Sinestro's ring glowing brightly, Jordan is about to give his father's first speech against rings, but Sinestro's return ruins it; Sinestro then brandishes a new power ring to punish both of them, and Jordan is taken away. Finally, Sinestro, now calling himself Parallax, kidnaps Jordan, and takes Ferris to the moon, attempting to kill him. While there, Sinestro reveals that he is actually a member of the Anti-Parallax Ring, and that he was the one who originally devised the ring, calling himself Parallax after he accidentally created the monsters that haunted him. Sinestro invites Jordan to join the Anti-Parallax Ring, but Jordan refuses as it would mean killing Sinestro. Jordan defeats Sinestro but relents and calls Sinestro Parallax's archenemy, before killing him, and bringing Ferris into the Anti-Parallax Ring. Afterward, the Anti-Parallax Ring assembles and Hal asks for the red ring. Under the power of his wish, he is transported to the Anti-Parallax Ring's headquarters at the planet Korugar. There, he finds Sinestro's body is now causing problems for the other Lanterns, and is immediately surrounded by them. Sinestro gives Jordan the green ring, telling him he can use the ring to create his own life, and then reveals they are in Hell, as the Anti-Parallax Ring has imprisoned the other Lanterns after Sinestro attempted to kill Jordan while they were in a hypnotic trance.
